PETG-CF 3D Printing in Easton, PA: Stiff, Lightweight Parts
PETG-CF is PETG filled with short carbon fibers. It is stiffer and prints with less warp than plain PETG, with a matte, technical finish, and it is a good middle step before moving to carbon-fiber nylon.
Where it earns its keep
• Lightweight brackets, arms, and frames for drones, RC vehicles, and camera and sensor mounts.
• Shop jigs, fixtures, and gauges that need to hold their shape.
• Equipment brackets that must not flex, such as motor mounts, inspection fixtures, and tooling plates.
• Enclosures that benefit from a stiff, matte, non-glossy look.
Honest limits
The carbon fibers make it stiffer but also more brittle, and it is abrasive, so it is a fit for rigid parts rather than snap-fits. Heat resistance is similar to PETG. For hotter environments we suggest PA-CF or PAHT-CF.
