On-Site 3D Scanning

Some parts can't be shipped — too large, still installed, or can't leave a secure facility. We bring the scanner to you.

How it works

We bring a Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition blue-laser 3D scanner (accuracy up to 0.015 mm as rated by the manufacturer) and a laptop to your location.
We scan the part or equipment in place, usually without disassembly.
You get the raw scan data, or we take it further into an editable CAD model (see Scan-to-CAD Reverse Engineering).

Equipment too large or heavy to ship
Parts still mounted on a machine
Facilities where the part can't leave the building
Capturing existing conditions for retrofit work.

How is it priced?

Travel within our service area is built into the quote rather than billed as a separate line. For locations beyond it, contact us to check availability.

Is travel extra?

Yes. Contact us first so we can work out access, device, and data restrictions before the visit.

Secure facilities?

Usually not. We scan the part or equipment in place wherever we can reach it.
