Equipment, tolerance, and lead times
Printers: Bambu Lab H2D Pro (heated chamber, up to 350 x 320 x 325 mm) and Creality K1 Max (up to 300 x 300 x 300 mm).
Materials in stock: PLA+, PETG, ASA, and TPU. Available on request: ABS, PETG-CF, PA-CF, PAHT-CF, PC, ESD-safe, and flame-retardant grades. Ask about other materials.
Tolerance: typically plus or minus 0.2 mm, depending on the part, material, and geometry.
Scanning: Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition, with single-frame accuracy of up to 0.015 mm as rated by the manufacturer, for objects from about 10 mm to 2 m.
Finishing: support removal, sanding, heat-set inserts, and painting on request. Critical dimensions are checked with digital calipers.
Lead times: most printed parts ship in 3 to 5 business days. Rush printing with local delivery is available in 48 hours when you supply a print-ready file. Scanning and CAD work is quoted per project.
File handling: our printers run on an isolated network that is never connected to the internet. Please do not upload export-controlled data through the quote form; contact us first.
How scan-to-CAD works
-
You send us the part, or we come to you.
-
We scan it and clean up the data.
-
We build and check the CAD model.
-
We print a fit-check sample if you want one, then produce the parts.
On-site scanning
Generally, we can travel to customer locations within 100 miles of Easton, Pennsylvania. Check here for our coverage radius. For longer on-site availability, reach us through our contact page.
Reverse engineering
We turn a physical part with no drawing or CAD file into an accurate, editable model — checked against the original before it's used to reproduce or modify the part. Deliverables are a native CAD file (STEP) and, if needed, a dimensioned 2D drawing or a reprinted sample.
3D scanning services
We use a Revopoint MetroY Ultra CMM Edition blue-laser 3D scanner, with single-frame accuracy of up to 0.015 mm as rated by the manufacturer, to capture the exact geometry of a part or piece of equipment from about 10 mm up to 2 m. Scans are delivered as raw data (mesh or point cloud) if that's all you need, or taken further into a clean, editable CAD model — see Reverse Engineering above.
What we do not do
Just to be clear - we do not yet print metal parts or flight-critical structural parts, and we do not hold aerospace quality certifications at this time. If a part needs a certified process, we will say so up front.
